Starting on the auspicious Friday the April 13th, local writer-poet and college professor Kevin McPherson (eckhoff, Hartford, etc) will be hosting a new ongoing literary salon at The Hub Arts Collective. Each night aspires to bring together various members of Vernon\\\’s community for an evening of laughs, poems, word-games, a nighttime snack, live music and prizes! The very firstest episode features an interview with a Young Spiderman Poet, a stand-up comedy spitlight on Tristan MacKinley, a special guesthost named Amy Edgar playing the role of Jake Kennedy, and songs by Luke Mortenson of Vernon\\\’s Paperboy. The second episode on April the 28th Saturday will showcase Saskatchewan poets Fionncara MacEoin and  Nancy Lowry, and several other surprise guests. And co-hosting most nights will be kevin\\\’s regular accomplice, poet-artist-person and fellow collegier and gmorningpoetry.blogspot.com co-conspirator, Jake Kennedy. The night is a good ol\\\’ zany celebration of community, words and joy! Please invite your neighbours and other strangers! Let\\\’s good and morning poetry!

    Expect the following smile-making trends to hit your senses saTURDay night: Monologuing “jokes”! Poems written by a real, live robot-machine! Surprize book give-a-ways! Possibly a word-villain! Stand-up cometry from Kaitlin Shuvera, perhaps! Saskatchewpoetry from Fionncara MacEoin and Nancy Lowry for surez! Musical sounds by Leila Neverland! Hosted by a kevin jaroslaw hartford ilya mcpherson eckhoff! He was once quoted as saying to hisself: “Don’t stop the not talking to me magically like a mountain lion poet, okay now!”

    Admission by donating some coin or a paper monies according to your means, like of $3-5 maybe! Small bedtime snacks are free for you! Please also feel free to bring your own nightish nibbly if youd prefer! Remember, it is all ages, all night, all right, so bring your neighbours and your neighbours’ kids, and your neighbours’ kids’ kids, and your neighbours’ kids’ kids’ great-great grandparents!     Come finish off your weekend with an upbeat drawing class that will allow you to work along side other active artists while appreciating the human body and all it has to offer. It\\\’s an independant class, so bring your materials, an open mind and join us as we draw each other and various models. If you are able to bring an easle all the better!
