Slow drying medium of oils has been around for a long time due to it’s durability and the ease an artist feels for layering and blending.
Supplies needed …. canvas or canvas board, odourless oil medium, palette, paint brushes (flat and round, large, medium and small), oil paints….. a large tube of white, cadmium yellow, burnt umber, cadmium red, ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, alizarine crimson, sketching paper, willow charcoal and source pics.

INK RESIST and POSTER COLOURS

An exciting resist process with washable poster colour and permanent drawing ink. The dramatic black and white result will be coloured by using water colours.
Supplies ….smooth water colour paper, black ink (water proof/permanent, drawing/chinese, indian), water colours, paint brushes, water colour palette, white poster/gouache paint (get the most inexpensive one), hair dryer and source pics

PALETTE KNIFE FIGURES

March 7, 14, 21, 28, 4 lessons, wednesdays, 6 pm – 9pm
The delightful technique of palette knife is the major focus of this course, either in oils or acrylics.
During the 4 lessons draped/undraped figures (from pics) will be rendered in medium of your choice. Course includes special instructions on anatomy of the human body at different ages. Styles can be realistic or impressionistic and everything inbetween.
Supplies needed:canvas/ canvas boards,acrylic/oil paints (basic colours), with an additional white,a few paint brushes,ordourless solvent, for oils only,flat palette, masking/painters tape,palette knives, 1″ and 2 ” wide, a few pieces of stiff cardboards or old credit cards,source pictures
