The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art

The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art is pleased to invite you to the opening reception of Troy Nickle’s “Process, Place and Perception”, a site-specific installation using natural materials. Physical elements from Kelowna’s landscape become part of the gallery architecture, playing with expectations of environment and place.

Also opening, in the members gallery, is “Roll Call”: a collection of wacky, smart, and darkly humourous comics created by local cartoonists. The pages were drawn collaboratively over the course of three weekend comic jam sessions, and encompass the wide range of humour and narrative sensibilities brought to the table by kids, teens, and adults alike.

Visit the Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art between July 25 and September 6 to view Troy Nickle’s exhibition. Please join us for an double opening reception and artist talk on Friday, July 25 at 7pm. Events take place at The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art and are free to the public.
