About the Artists:

Trumpeter Jens Lindemann has been described as part ballet dancer, part gymnast, and part magician. He is hailed as one of the most celebrated soloists in his instrument’s history. Lindemann received the Order of Canada in 2014 and was named International Brass Personality of the Year in 2006 by the Brass Herald. Classically trained at the Juilliard School in New York, Lindemann’s proven ability to perform as a diverse artist places him at the front of a new generation of musicians.

Since his 1950 professional debut, Tommy Banks has accomplished much: he is the recipient of the Juno Award, the Gemini Award, the Order of Canada and several ARIA Awards. Banks has conducted symphony orchestras, has provided musical direction for the ceremonies of EXPO ’86, and the XV Olympic Winter Games and for countless television shows.
