Season Grand Finale for the Penticton Community Concerts with the Local Artists’ Concert on April 7th

In its 63rd year, Penticton Community Concerts is pleased to present their grand finale concert of the season with some of the best musicians that the South Okanagan has to offer. This year, there will be two featured musical groups, Offramp Jazz Sextet and Acoustic Noire will fill the Cleland Theatre with a wide range of great music for everyone to enjoy.

Penticton Art Music Arts Award Winner for 2016, Justin Glibbery, will bring his talent and leadership to this concert with his popular Offramp Jazz Sextet. The Offramp Jazz Sextet is one of Penticton’s finest jazz groups. This band was formed in 2010 and has six of the South Okanagan’s great musicians. The exciting group is bridging generations together for the love of good music. The best of the swing era and everything in between, The Offramp Jazz Sextet brings you a sampling of jazz that will leave you dancing and singing! This truly is a group not to be missed!

Acoustic Noire will take you on a musical journey of musical and mental imagery, and guide you through an intensely enjoyable and diverse series of melodic and rhythmic emotions, set to the wonderfully variable and sensitive character of the acoustic guitar, and performed for you by two Okanagan performers, Rob Dewar and Phil Patenaude. Acoustic Noire is an original “Orchestrated Acoustic Guitar Duet”, meaning, there are two musicians who play original acoustic guitar based compositions that were developed with the goal of creating a form of orchestration in their original

Tickets for this season finale are $30 with $5 for students. They can be purchased at the Shatford Centre at 760 Main Street or the Penticton Community Centre at 325 Power Street.
