2014 ad, Heirloom Discovery Day only

Have you been wondering about that one-of-a-kind item you found in your attic, or the value of your latest antique find? Antiques appraiser Peter Blundell will be on site during the Lake Country Museum’s Centrepiece Festival August 24th with verbal Opinion-of-Value session to help you with identifying your treasure and to give you a value of what it might be worth.

With Heirloom Discovery Day, you can reserve a 15-minute appointment, during which Peter Blundell can appraise up to three items for $36.25 (incl. GST). The appraisals will run from 11:00am to 3:15pm on Sunday, August 24th at the Lake Country Museum’s Centrepiece Festival, and must be booked in advance, by August 20th. Payment is required at the time of booking in order to reserve your space.

Please note:

Appointments are for a maximum of 15 minutes, up to 3 items per appointment.  Assessment of all items is subject to the 15-minute time constraint. Multiple appointments may be booked.

Please note that one original work of art may take up to 15 minutes.

Jewelry, coins, stamps, guns, and wristwatches cannot be appraised.

Items thought to be over four hundred years old cannot be assessed at this event.

Pocket watches and swords may be brought in.

Individuals who wish to have large furniture pieces assessed are asked to bring in a portion of the piece, e.g., a drawer, along with a photograph, and the item’s measurements.

These are verbal opinions on value, not official appraisals, and will not be suitable for insurance purposes.

If anyone wishes an additional appraisal or a formal house call, or has any other questions, they may phone Peter in advance at 250-542-4540, or visit his web page at www.blundellartandantiques.com.

To reserve your spot, please phone or visit the Lake Country Museum by August 20th at 11255 Okanagan Centre Rd West, Lake Country, 250-766-0111, or email info@lakecountrymuseum.com.
