2nd Annual We Love Documentary Film Festival
~ Oct 11th, 12th & 13th!

International Filmmaker and National Chair of the Documentary Organization of Canada, Pepita Ferrari returns with five documentary films that are being screened at the Shatford Centre. Joining Pepita is Mandy Leith, who has just completed her ‘Get on the Bus Doc Tour’ of Canada. Mandy is a strategic storyteller, social media consultant, and documentary film-maker, and founder of MediaRising.tv and Open Cinema. Cost is $10 per film/workshop or $35 for the weekend pass, which includes 5 movies, panel discussions and workshops.

Aging and Laughter followed by panel discussion. This documentary explores issues around aging and the psychology of aging.

Friday, Oct 11th 7:00 pm
Muscle Shoals followed by panel discussion. Legendary artists including Aretha Franklin, Bono, Jimmy Cliff, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Etta James and Alicia Keys render homage to the unique Muscle Shoals sound that, generations later, remains a world renowned influence in music.

Rivers and Tides followed by panel discussion. Directed by Thomas Riedelsheimer, this film is about the British artist Andy Goldsworthy, who creates intricate and ephemeral sculptures from natural materi-als such as rocks, leaves, flowers, and icicles.
