TWO NIGHTS OF COMEDY WITH SIX COMICS THIS HALLOWEEN

KeyNote Productions together with Train Wreck Comedy is proud to present the 3rd annual Halloween event: Haunted Howler Comedy Fest! This year the Haunted Howler has expanded to two nights of ‘spooktacular’ comedy that will feature six of the best comedians in the business. The fun doesn’t stop there! Just like last year, in full Halloween fashion, there will be a costume contest, Halloween treats, live DJ, adult beverages and a must see Haunted House that will be bigger and better than ever!

Looking to provide the community with a fun, alternative event for Halloween lovers, KeyNote Productions and Train Wreck Comedy joined forces again this year to create an exciting weekend of comedy and tricks, n’ treats! This year the festival has expanded to include a night of Adult Only hilarity on Friday October 30th at Lake City Casino. As in previous years, the all-ages, always hysterical Gala show at the Kelowna Community Theatre will take place on Halloween night, followed by an exclusive after-party hosted by Lake City Casino to wrap-up the festivities with a live band and great drink specials. It’s a safe way to celebrate, while still embracing all the chilling components that make up the perfect Halloween weekend.

Headlining Friday night’s ‘Growler Before the Howler’ at Lake City Casino on Friday October 30th, is Corner Brook, Newfoundland’s Trent McClellan. With an incredible resume that includes the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Moncton Hup Cap Comedy Festival, the Edmonton Comedy Festival, and YYC Calgary Comedy Festival, Trent is sure to get the Haunted Howler started on the right foot in 2015.

Joining Trent on stage for the inaugural ‘Growler Before the Howler’ will be a true comedy road warrior, Matt Billon, who is currently one of five finalists for Canada’s Next Top Comic Competition on Sirius XM Radio. This ages 19+ Casino Show will be hosted by local comedy favourite and Train Wreck Comedy founder: Rob Balsdon.

The Haunted Howler Gala event on Halloween night will feature not one, but TWO HEADLINE ACTS. Pete Zedlacher is one of the top headlining comics in the country as evidenced by his 2006 Canadian Comedy Award for Best Male Stand-up. Pete is also a two-time Gemini Award nominee for his recent television performances at Just For Laughs and CBC’s The Halifax Comedy Festival. Pete has also written for The Ron James Show, CBC’s The Debaters and The Hour With George Stroumboulopoulos.

Also haunting the stage this year will be the very recognizable Darrin Rose who is best known for playing Bill the Bartender on the CBC Television series Mr. D. You may also recognize him as the host of the Canadian version of the classic Match Game, which airs regularly on the Comedy Network. Don’t be fooled by all his television work over the past few years, Darrin is still true to his roots as a stand-up comedian performing regularly at festivals all across North America.

The always high energy and outrageously funny Steve McGowan from Vancouver, BC and the previously mentioned Trent McLellan will also be providing some funny to round out the third instalment of the Haunted Howler Gala event on Halloween night.
