Immersive Symposium on Sustainability

The Kelowna Art Gallery is pleased to present our Symposium on Sustainability: Business as Usual or a Future We Really Want?, on Saturday, February 21, 2015, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The symposium will address a wide variety of themes from personal to systemic change. It will explore ideas about living more consciously as well as look at inspiring initiatives that are happening locally.

The event is free to attend and includes an address from keynote speaker, Dr. Greg Garrard, Associate Professor, Sustainability, UBCO. The day will include break-out sessions, a panel discussion, poetry readings, a screening of two TED talks, and an exhibition tour.

This symposium complements our current exhibition A Terrible Beauty: Edward Burtynsky in Dialogue with Emily CarrA Terrible Beauty is organized and circulated by the Vancouver Art Gallery with the generous support of the Killy Foundation.

For symposium attendees who are interested, a build-your-own-sandwich buffet will be available for a cost of $8 per person.
