Fall Art Classes

The Kelowna Art Gallery is pleased to announce our fall art class offerings for adults, available from September through November. Registration is now underway for these high-quality, intimate classes. A special 10% discount is available to all who register before September 14.

Classes range from painting in watercolour, oil, and acrylics, to drawing or even working with mixed media. Local professional artists Jim Elwood, Rena Warren, Harry Tonn, and Kendra Dixson join us to lead the fall classes.

Most classes run for six weeks, and cater to absolute beginners, as well as to those of intermediate skill level. Beginners will learn the basic principles of their preferred medium, while also discussing, exploring, and expressing themselves through visual art. More advanced students will build on their existing skills through creative exercises to develop their abilities. Participants in all classes will complete and take home a number of works of art. Instruction by the Gallery’s art teachers is supportive, motivating, and inspiring.

The cost for each six-week-long series of classes is $130.00 for members of the Kelowna Art Gallery, and $160.00 for the general public.

This October and November, the Gallery will also be hosting four weekend workshops that will cover practices from Visual Storytelling to Knitting Metal Jewelry. The Kelowna Art Gallery is thrilled to welcome exceptional artist-instructors, Alex Fong, Brenda Dureault, Joseph Sanchez, and Lee Claremont, who will lead intensive two-day workshops that each explore working with a specific medium.

The cost for each two-day workshop is $90.00 for members of the Kelowna Art Gallery, and $105.00 for the general public. Supplies are included in the cost of the workshop.

A full listing and description of available classes can be found on the Gallery’s website at www.kelownaartgallery.com.
