Barney Bentall, Jim Byrnes and John Mann Live in Concert

The Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre proudly presents Bentall, Byrnes and Mann on Sunday, September 28 2014 at 7:30pm at the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre.

Celebrated Canadian music legends Barney Bentall, Jim Byrnes and John Mann perform live in concert for the Centre’s 13th Birthday Bash. With over 25 albums, multiple Juno Awards, and countless tours between them, Bentall, Byrnes and Mann join forces in this engaging performance.

Best known for his 1990s-era band Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts, singer and guitarist Barney Bentall returns to Performing Arts Centre. With the legendary hearts, Bentall recorded several platinum singles including Something to Live ForHouse of Love (is Haunted), and Come Back to Me as well as five gold and platinum albums. After a 10 year hiatus, Bentall launched his career as a solo artist performing his unique blend of blues, folk and rock.

Jim Byrnes began playing music at the age of five, and started singing and playing blues guitar at 13. Over the course of his 50 year career as a musician, Byrnes has amassed considerable recognition for his musical talent. He has received 4 Maple Blues Awards, 3 Juno Awards, 2 Canadian Folk Music Awards, and a Western Canadian Music Award for his solo albums, and has been inducted into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame.

With 11 albums and numerous international tours as the front man of Spirit of the West, actor and Juno Award winning musician John Mann joins the talent on stage. Hot off the heels of his most recent album release, The Waiting Room, Mann shares his love for storytelling in this impassioned performance.

All impressive performers on their own, Bentall, Byrnes and Mann bring an engaging mix of music from folk to roots and blues-rock to pop in this spectacular musical experience.
