Just One Night

In celebration of 20 years of successfully empowering children at risk around the world to become children of change, Hope for the Nations invites the community for Just One Night of Films, 7:00 p.m. Tuesday August 19 at Bottega.

The Kelowna based, international NGO is hosting the film night on the eve of their anniversary and the announcement of a critical new partnership in Cambodia.

“We see this night as an opportunity to share not only everything HOPE has accomplished in 21 countries during the past 20 years but also to share our next major project; educating and enabling vulnerable children in Cambodia. We could not have achieved all the successes we have the past 20 years without such overwhelming community support – Kelowna really is influencing the world!”

Patrick Elaschuk
Executive Director, Hope for the Nations

The Sundance Grand Jury Prize award-winning documentary “A River Changes Course” will be screened at the August 19 event. The film examines the damage done by rapid development in Cambodia, specifically focusing on three struggling families.

HOPE’s latest project in Cambodia will focus on creating a better education system in three key regions as well as provide the opportunity for more than 400 at risk children to attend school by 2016.
