Open Call for Submissions – An Alternator-ish Exhibition

Open Call for Submissions

An Alternator-ish Exhibition

The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art is opening the doors once again for its Annual Members’ Exhibition and this year, they are trying something rather new-ish.

It is that time of year where the world has gotten a bit cold-ish, the trees have turned red-ish, and the Alternator gallery walls are blank-ish. In celebration of all things ‘– ish’, the Alternator invites you to participate in this years Annual Members’ Show: -ISH. Alternator members, old and new, are invited to create an artwork exploring any ‘-ish’. It can be any size, any medium, and any subject. The only catch – all work must be titled, explaining your -ish!

To participate, drop by the gallery with your work between November 12 and 14 during regular gallery hours when gallery staff will be available to help hang up your work. Space is allocated on a first come, first served basis, so don’t delay! Membership renewal will also be available online and in person at the gallery during installation week.

Visit the gallery between November 16 and December 15 to view the works on display by some of our regions top artists, or join us for an opening reception on November 15 from 7-9pm for a preview of this unconventional exhibition.

The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art is an artist-run centre located in Kelowna at the Rotary Centre for the Arts, 421 Cawston Avenue. The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art is a registered non-profit charitable organization dedicated to the development of the creative community.
