ONE NIGHT, THREE NEW SHOWS: Alternator Members’ Show; Aidan Comes Home 02/10/13; and Energy and Movement

The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art is pleased to invite the public to the opening of three new exhibitions from local artists: -ISH, the Annual Members’ Show; Energy and Movement by Roberta Grewcock; and Aidan Comes Home 02/10/13 by Brit Bachmann. Come out and enjoy these final exhibitions of 2013 with us!

It is that time of year where the world has gotten a bit cold-ish, the trees have turned red-ish and the Alternator gallery walls are blank-ish. In celebration of all things ‘-ish’, the Alternator invites you to this years’ Annual Member’s Show – ISH. A variety of work from Alternator member artists including painting, photography, sculpture and more will be on view from November 15 – December 15, 2013.

The abstract work of Roberta Grewcock is filled with bright, bold, and vivid colors that come alive and playfully bounce off of each of her canvases. Movement pulls you in and explores a variety of surface textures. Come to feel the contrast of energy and movement in the Alternator Members Gallery!

Local emerging artist Brit Bachmann presents Aidan Comes Home 02/10/13, a site-specific vinyl installation that marries the cultural district’s ongoing obsession with stage performance, and the artist’s obsession with organic performance. Aidan Comes Home 02/10/13 is on display in the Alternator Window Gallery, inside the Rotary Centre for the Arts, from November 15, 2013 until January 16, 2014.

The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art welcomes you to visit our space between November 15th and December 15th to view the exhibitions. Please join us for an opening reception on Friday, November 15th from 7 to 9pm. All events will take place at The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art and are free to the public.
