You are invited for an unforgettable wine paired dinner and art auction at the stunning new Poplar Grove Winery, featuring the exquisite offerings of the Vanilla Pod Restaurant, paired with the award winning wines of Poplar Grove Winery. The evening will also feature a special live auction featuring 16 investment quality works of art. Tickets are $125.00 and including a five course, wine paired dinner with some of the region’s best known artists. Tickets are limited to only 75 and are expected to go fast and are available for purchase in advance at either the Penticton Art Gallery or Poplar Grove Winery.
The Penticton Art Gallery is grateful to have received 16 amazing works of art for this event representing an incredible group internationally recognized artists, whose works can be found in major public and private collections around the world. This is a rare opportunity for those looking to start building a collection or those looking expand and enhance their existing art collection. The artists include: Jack Shadbolt, Bobbie Burgers, Robert Rauschenberg, Laurie Papou, John Koerner RCA, Joseph Plaskett, Lincoln Clarkes, Gordon A. Smith, John Hall RCA, Joice Hall RCA, Harold Klunder RCA, Michiko Suzuki & Wayne Eastcott RCA, Julie Oakes, Rod Charlesworth, Michael Hermesh & David T. Alexander RCA.
Proceeds raised will go towards funding the ongoing public programming of the Penticton Art Gallery.
In the event you are unable to attend the event on October 26th but would like to bid on any of the works available you can leave an advance bid with the Penticton Art Gallery and a staff member will exercise your bid on your behalf. All the donated works are currently on display at the Penticton Art Gallery. A copy of the auction catalogue can be viewed online at: www.pentictonartgallery.com
Canapés and refreshments will be available from 6:00 – 7:00 pm followed by a wined paired dinner. The Vanilla Pod Restaurant, run by Executive Chef Bruno Terroso, will provide a five-course gourmet dinner made with local and seasonal ingredients featuring flavours of the Mediterranean combined with fresh Okanagan ingredients. The auction will take place between courses.
The Vanilla Pod Restaurant is located at Poplar Grove Winery at 425 Middle Bench Road North, Penticton, BC. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. on October 26th with the live auction starting at 7 p.m. Seating is limited to 75 guests. Tickets are available at the Penticton Art Gallery and Poplar Grove Winery.
