KELOWNA, BC – KeyNote Productions and Country 100.7 are excited to announce the “Your Town Throwdown” Tour with Chad Brownlee, Deric Ruttan and Jason Blaine will be rolling into Kelowna for one night only on Tuesday, November 12 at the Kelowna Community Theatre.

Chad Brownlee, former NHL player with the Vancouver Canucks who still calls Kelowna his home town, launched a successful career in country music with his gift for songwriting in 2010. Nominated for the NCAA Hockey Humanitarian Award for his song “The Hero I See”, Brownlee’s song helped raise thousands of dollars for the Anthony Ford Foundation, propelling him into the world of country music. To date, Brownlee has been nominated for the 2010 CCMA Rising Star Award and received the 2010 Canadian Country Music Conference Best New Artist Showcase Award. His singles from the new album ‘Love Me or Leave Me’ are rising to the top of the Canadian country music charts as he continues to gain fans across the country with strong, catchy lyrics and a charm to match.

Chad will be joined on the “Your Town Throwdown” Tour with fellow country musician, Deric Ruttan. Raised just outside Bracebridge, Ontario, Deric left his hometown to pursue his musical dreams in Nashville. After spending seven years attempting to make a name for himself, he was signed with Song/ATV Music Publishing and later with Disney’s Lyric Street Records. His debut album earned him CCM nominations for “Best Album”, “Male Vocalist” and “Rising Star”. As Deric began to receive recognition for his album work however, his songwriting began to take off and by September 2007, he had earned his first CCMA for “Songwriter of the Year”.  Having worked with some of country music’s greats, Deric set out to produce his own, chart-topping album. His latest album, “Sunshine”, is a smart blend of high-energy, intimate tracks that explore relationships, nostalgic look at small town life, and showcase a hopeful and optimistic view of the world.

Completing the trio for the tour is singer/songwriter, Jason Blaine. Jason, first picked up a guitar at the age of 8 and began his song writing career at 16 years old. As a member of a ‘hobby band’ in his younger years, Jason always knew he wanted to make a career in music, however, followed the conventional route of attending college after high school before pursuing his musical aspirations. After college, he moved to Nashville to concentrate heavily on honing his song writing talent where he successfully released 3 albums with chart topping singles. His latest album “Life So Far” is a collection of songs that reflect a deeper sense of self and tell a story of relationships, memories and people of influence in Jason’s life.

Together, this trio of exciting, multi-talented singer-songwriters are hitting the road for a 26 stop tour traveling across the country playing to live audiences.
