SUPER 8 PLAYS THE VIBRANT VINE; LAUNCHES NEW VINTAGE THEATRE SEASON

“It’s August 8, 2008 and I’m drinking at the Super 8. Tomorrow is a workday, but tonight is all mine”

 New Vintage Theatre is pleased to announce their first production, Super 8, will be at The Vibrant Vine Winery for two shows on Saturday, January 26 at 5 and 7pm.

The event for will also be a launch for the first New Vintage Theatre season. Super 8 is an acclaimed new play by Mark C. Hopkins and Charles Netto from Calgary. Directed by Bonnie Gratz, Super 8 features local actor and Go! Okanagan anchor Doug Brown and the award winning actress Dorothy Dalba. The two play unusual strangers who meet in a Super 8 Motel bar on August 8, 2008 and the funny, bittersweet events that unfold.

The play had sold out runs at Lunchbox Theatre in Calgary and at The Edmonton International Fringe Festival this summer, garnering rave reviews, and recently packed Pulp Fiction Coffeehouse for a Nov.20 reading by New Vintage. The production is a BC premiere.

New Vintage Theatre is a small professional theatre company, formed in August 2012, has the mandate to create and produce new works and remount the classics in captivating ways. A full season line up for 2013-14 will also be announced in at this event in January.

Super 8 will play at The Vibrant Vine on Saturday, January 26 for two shows at 5 and 7pm.
