New Vintage Hallowe’en Play Reading

New Vintage Theatre is pleased to be offering up the second in their series of play readings at Pulp Fiction Coffeehouse onTuesday, October 30.  This month’s offering is Artistic Director Bonnie Gratz’s adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe’s classic The Cask of The Amontillado.

“It is a classic horror tale with a twist, set in the underbelly of Venice, Italy during Carnival. It is a tasty theatrical trick or treat evening for those who love a good scare.”, says Gratz

Audience members are encouraged to bring a mask and their “most terrifying book from home”-whether it be a Stephen King classic or a dreaded High School Math textbook.  This relaxed, fun event has no admission but the cost of a delicious drink or treat from the New Vintage’s host and Arts Partner, Pulp Fiction Coffeehouse.

New Vintage Theatre is a small professional theatre company that was formed in August 2012 with the mandate to create and produce new works and remount the classics in captivating ways.  The group is buoyed by the outpouring of support they have received from artists and arts supporters in the community since their launch in August.  They will be announcing their first full season in January and starting their first Playwright’s Hot House, a new play development program for Interior artists.  The group also offers acting classes for beginning and experienced actors in Rotary Centre For The Arts.

The New Vintage Play Reading will be held on Tuesday, October 30 at 7pm. Admission is free, but those interested in attending are asked to RSVP to info@NewVintage.ca as space is limited.

Pulp Fiction Coffeehouse can be found at 1598 Pandosy Street (the corner of Lawrence & Pandosy) in Kelowna. They encourage people to check out their full line up of play readings and other offerings at their website www.NewVintage.ca
