New Vintage Theatre Offers First Play Reading Evening
For your consideration…after the sold out launch of their first acting class at The Rotary Centre For The Arts, New Vintage Theatre is now offering up delicious play readings at Pulp Fiction Coffeehouse starting Tuesday, September 18.
“We want to give people the opportunity to come out, read and preview the cool plays we would like to produce next season. There is a delightful mixture of classics and also new works by Canadian playwrights that have a very retro feel to them, just the way we like it!”, says enthusiastic Artistic Director Bonnie Gratz
The first play reading will feature Daphne DuMaurier’s adaptation of her own classic novel, Rebecca. This relaxed, fun event has no admission but the cost of a delicious coffee from the New Vintage’s host and Arts Partner, Pulp Fiction Coffeehouse.
New Vintage Theatre is a small professional theatre company that was formed in August 2012 with the mandate to create and produce new works and remount the classics in captivating ways. They hope to launch their first full season in 2013-14.
The New Vintage Play Reading will be held on September 18 at 7pm. Pulp Fiction Coffeehouse can be found at 1598 Pandosy Street (the corner of Lawrence & Pandosy). Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP to info@NewVintage.ca as space is limited. They encourage people to check out their full line up of play readings at their website www.NewVintage.ca
