The first event of the 2012-2013 Visiting Authors Series will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 4 at the downtown Kelowna branch of the Okanagan Regional Library.

UBC Okanagan authors and professors Nancy Holmes and Anne Fleming will be launching their latest books. Holmes will read from her new book of poems, The Flicker Tree. Anne Fleming will read from her third book, a collection of short fiction, titled Gay Dwarves of America.

Books will be on sale at the door. This free community event is hosted by the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, the UBCO Bookstore, the Okanagan Regional Library and the Canada Council for the Arts.
