Rotary Centre for the Arts Welcomes new GM
Patrick LeBlanc has been hired as the new general manager for The Rotary Centre for the Arts.
“I’m really excited to be joining the team at the Rotary Centre for the Arts,” said LeBlanc, who will start his new job Aug. 20.
“Walking into the RCA was love at first sight for me. The innovative programs, the bistro, the Mary Irwin Theatre, all the activity; there’s just so much going on here, and it has such great energy. I can’t wait to be a part of it.
“I’m really looking forward to participating in the pottery and painting programs. But what has impressed me most so far has been the commitment and enthusiasm of everyone here at the RCA. It will be my pleasure to get to know the staff, board, volunteers, patrons, sponsors, and everyone involved with the centre.”
LeBlanc has been an arts administrator for over 25 years, holding management positions with Ontario’s Bach Elgar Choir, B.C.’s Carousel Theatre Company and School, the Waterfront Theatre on Granville Island, the National Film Board of Canada, Vancouver Opera, and most recently as managing director for the East Kootenay’s regional arts facility, the Key City Theatre.
“My career has taken me all over Canada, but the Okanagan has always been my favourite vacation spot, and now I have the opportunity to live in Kelowna and work with an outstanding organization. It’s the classic ‘cake and eating it too’ scenario. I’m absolutely thrilled to be here,” LeBlanc said.
