Visiting Toronto Artist to Teach Printmaking Workshop at the Vernon Community Art Centre

VISITING ARTIST!

Ortansa Moraru Teaching at the VCAC

We are so excited to announce that the extraordinarily talented Ortansa Moraru, visiting artist from Toronto, will be teaching a one-day printmaking workshop here at the VCAC on Thursday, March 22. She will be in the Okanagan in conjunction with her exhibit at the Headbones Gallery.

This is going to be a super fantastic class, and is likely to fill up quickly, so register now! The information for the class is as follows:

Come and experiment quick and inspired line drawings on a zinc plate! Energy, improvisation, gesture and impulse are all characteristics of this printing process. It is the most immediately rewarding technique available for creating works on paper. In this printmaking workshop, each participant will have the opportunity to create an original print. No printmaking experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. Moreover, the instructor will also partake in a printmaking exchange portfolio by the end of the workshop.
