I don’t know about you, but I always find making New Year’s Eve plans daunting. Where should I go? What should I do? Well, this year oook’s got the answers! Here’s all the New Year’s Eve events we could track down.

North – Vernon and area
In Vernon this year, you’ll find a good variety of activities you can enjoy on NYE 2011. Why not go spend some time snowshoeing in the wilderness to a cabin to enjoy a beautiful dinner? You could also take in the Fireworks and Torchlight parade at Silver Star Mountain while you’re up there. Or how about take in the last show of Caravan Farm Theatre’s Winter Production – Gift Horse? An Opera Fan? Join Melina Moore for the First Annual Black & White Vienna Ball. If Opera isn’t your thing, you could also check out the Komasket Party, or get in a little celtic / martime rock with Cod Gone Wild.

Center – Kelowna and area
There will be some good dance parties at Flashbacks, Sapphire and Level, if nightclubs are your thing. Both the Blue Gator and the Minstrel Cafe have got some blues / r&B heavy weights in for the evening. Looking for something even more hardcore? Hit up New Year Evil, a line up of metal bands. How about a place where you get to make your own music? Well, then head to the Karoke NYE Dance party at the Packing House Pub. Both Habitat and Doc’s have some fine musicians coming in to play the night away. Looking for beautiful food? Enjoy a five course meal at the Bonfire Grill.
