2011 Penticton Community Holiday Gala – Peak Entertainment – changing the way Penticton thinks about music

Tomorrow night the 2011 Penticton Community Holiday Gala kicks off. This event is brought to you by Peak Entertainment and Superfly Industries, which is made up of Joey Krom and Jonny 5. These guys have tons of energy and enthusiasm for music – their company motto is “Changing the way Penticton thinks about music” – how can you not love it! I had a quick chat with Joey to get an idea of what people can expect at the Holiday Gala tomorrow night.

JK: I make up PEAK Entertainment, and my associate Jonny runs under the Superfly Industries moniker. Together we coordinate a few different events here in Pen, most centered around music. The next event will be this Friday, and it will be totally awesome! It’s going to be something new for us as a team, but we’ve put together a solid evening of great food and great entertainment! We coined it the 2011 Penticton Community Holiday Gala… a big name I suppose, but it’s a big event…! The idea is to help support the South Okanagan Children’s Charity this winter, a worthy cause that’s been helping the families of children with health issues for the last 25+ years. To do that, we’ve gathered a few of the local Penticton businesses together. Some donated items for the silent auction, others helped organize the fashion show. Local artists have donated work as well, and we’re hoping to have one or two artists working live during the event, where we’ll auction the final piece near the end of the night. Miss Penticton 2011 Jolene Hayter will be joining us that night as well, and will be performing a live set during a dinner catered by the Yacht Club. The rest of the night will be hosted by our DJs Parmley, Shakes, and OHMZ who each have a solid background of playing shows at wineries, gala’s and other functions of this sort.
