oook collaboration session – TONIGHT! All are welcome!

Hello oook-ians! Well it’s been 99 days since we first launched oook.ca on June 30th 2011. So far to date, we’ve created 99 posts and listed over 500 events and it feels like we’re just getting started! Your response and support of the site have been tremendous – thanks! We really appreciate it.

To help us to figure out where else we can take and expand oook.ca so that we can best serve our oook-ians and the arts and culture of the Okanagan, we’re organizing an OOOK Collaboration Session. That’s right, on Wednesday November 16th, we’ve organized an evening at the Streaming Cafe in Kelowna where anyone and everyone is invited to come and meet with oook creators Katie Brennan and Jason Vance, and many of the oook contributors, for an evening of networking with arts and cultural producers and a lively collaborative discussion about the arts and culture of the Okanagan.

We want to hear from you. What do you love about arts and culture in the Okanagan? What do you wish there was more of? How can we work collaboratively between individual arts and cultural producers and organizations to make the already vibrant arts and cultural scene here in the Okanagan even bigger and brighter?

We here at oook.ca feel that getting the word out about all the great things happening in the valley is a great way to this. We love hearing from the people who are making things happen here; shining the spotlight on them and giving them the credit they truly deserve- like our tagline says “There’s More to Discover”.

If you’d like to help us do this, them come out to the Streaming Cafe on Wednesday November 16th  from 7 – 9pm to join the dialogue and share your ideas at the OOOK Collaboration Session!
