Katie Brennan is an artist and the main force behind oook.ca. She relocated to the Okanagan in 2009, after pursuing her education in the visual arts in Ontario and Vancouver. She has exhibited work across Canada, including Halifax, Toronto, Guelph, Vancouver, Vernon and Wells, BC. She has always been involved in the art communities around her and has worked in a handful of arts organizations in the Okanagan, including the Kelowna Art Gallery, the Alternator Centre for Contemoprary Art, the Vernon Community Art Centre, the Vernon and District Performing Art Centre, Gallery Vertigo, Okanagan College,  and the Okanagan Regional Library. She has taught painting and drawing at UBCO and has recently been named curator of the Lake Country Art Gallery. oook.ca is the expansion of the OKnow listserv that Katie has run since October 2009.
