For all you FILM BUFFS (…and wannabes)
The Fall schedules for our local film societies; Vernon Film Society, Shuswap Film Society and Kelowna Film Society; are about to kick off. So we thought it would be a good idea to give you a run down of what you can look forward to in the world of independent and foreign film available in the Okanagan. All of these films come via the Film Circuit, which is a division of the Toronto International Film Festival. Without this great program, none of these films would EVER reach the Okanagan. Also for those of you out there who are interested in making films, you’ll want to check out the Filmmaker’s Roundtable, presented by the Knowledge Network and the Okanagan Film Festival at the Delta Grand Hotel Sept 15th. This is a chance to mingle with fellow film makers, as well as hear the thoughts of Knowledge Network President and CEO, Rudy Buttignol.
