The Kelowna Art Gallery is pleased to announce a new exhibition featuring the works of printmaking students from the University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus. Incognito features twenty-five nine-foot-high banners on which the artists have imprinted their entire bodies, obscuring their faces with objects that are meant to provide some clue about their characters and identities. Incognito is on view from March 24 to June 24, 2012 in the Rotary Courtyard of the Kelowna Art Gallery.
Incognito is a result of the ongoing vital partnership between theUniversity ofBritish Columbia Okanagan Campus and theKelownaArtGallery. The exhibition is coordinated by Renée Burges, Head of Public Programming at theKelownaArtGallery, and Briar Craig, Associate Professor at the UBCO.
An opening reception to celebrate the exhibition will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012, from 7 to 9 pm, at theKelownaArtGallery. This is a free event, open to members and guests, by invitation.
